Dr Jemma Reid

Dr Reid is experienced at treating a range of mental health conditions including depression, anxiety disorders, bipolar disorder and psychosis. Dr Reid has special expertise in the recognition and treatment of Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) and neurodevelopmental disorders, particularly Autism and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).

Dr. Reid attained her medical degree from the Royal Free and University College London Medical school in 2009 and she gained membership of the Royal College of Psychiatrists in 2014. She has worked in a range of settings with both outpatients and inpatients and previously worked for the National OCD and Body Dysmorphic Disorder service. Dr Reid is passionate about holistic care and earned a diploma in Lifestyle Medicine through the British Society of Lifestyle Medicine in 2020.

Dr. Reid is an advocate for greater awareness and understanding of neurodivergence. She has completed both the Royal College of Psychiatrists’ foundation and enhanced autism training programmes.

Dr. Reid has an active research interest and is currently leading research studies into OCD and autism within the NHS. She has published multiple papers and book chapters and presented internationally. She has also previously held the role of academic representative for the South West division of the Royal College of Psychiatrists and in 2024 was appointed the chair for the Obsessive Compulsive and Related Disorders clinical network in the UK.
